Liverpool continued their impressive form in the Premier League with a convincing 3-0 victory over Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday.

The reigning champions controlled the game from start to finish, with goals from Fabinho, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Takumi Minamino securing the win.

The victory extends Liverpool's unbeaten streak to 10 games in all competitions and moves them up to second place in the league table, just three points behind leaders Manchester City.

Liverpool's Dominance Reflected in Possession Statistics

Liverpool's dominance in the match was evident in the possession statistics, with the Reds enjoying 72% of the ball.

They also created more chances than their opponents, with 21 shots to Brentford's 10.

Fabinho Opens the Scoring

Liverpool took the lead in the 44th minute when Fabinho fired home a low drive from outside the box.

The goal was the Brazilian's first of the season and extended his incredible record of scoring in every Premier League campaign since joining the club in 2018.

Oxlade-Chamberlain Doubles the Lead

Liverpool doubled their lead in the 69th minute when Oxlade-Chamberlain slotted home a rebound after Minamino's shot was saved by Brentford goalkeeper David Raya.

It was the Englishman's second goal of the season and his first in the Premier League since August.

Minamino put the game beyond doubt in the 84th minute when he finished off a flowing move involving Mohamed Salah and Andrew Robertson.

The goal was the Japanese forward's first in the Premier League this season and his second in all competitions.

They will now turn their attention to their upcoming Champions League match against Real Madrid on Wednesday.
