Carlo Acutis
Carlo Acutis was an English-born Italian Catholic website designer who documented Eucharistic miracles and. He died of leukemia in 2006 at the age of 15. Pope Francis recognized the second miracle needed for the canonization of Italian Blessed Carlo Acutis in May 2024.
Beatification
Carlo Acutis was beatified on 10 October 2020. The ceremony was held in the Basilica of San Francesco d'Assisi in Assisi, Italy. Carlo was beatified by Cardinal Agostino Vallini, the prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints.
Sainthood
Carlo Acutis is now a saint in the Catholic Church. He was canonized by Pope Francis on 15 October 2023. The canonization ceremony was held in St. Peter's Square in Vatican City.
