Early Life and Spiritual Journey

Carlo Acutis was born on May 3, 1991, in London, England, to Andrea Acutis and Antonia Salzano. From a tender age, Carlo exhibited an extraordinary love for God and a deep understanding of the Catholic faith.

At the age of four, Carlo asked his mother if he could receive his First Holy Communion, even though he was three years younger than the minimum age. After receiving permission from his bishop, Carlo made his First Communion on October 13, 1995.

Throughout his childhood, Carlo's devotion to the Eucharist grew stronger. He spent hours before the Tabernacle, praying and offering his petitions to God. He also developed a passion for evangelization, using his computer skills to create websites and videos that shared his faith with others.
